a) Children outgrow shoes sizes so rapidly, it's best to buy shoes that aren't just fit, but you should never buy shoes that are more than one size too large for your child. Shoes that are too big can cause a child to trip and develop foot problems while trying to walk in shoes that are too large.

b) Shoes size have to be in proper length and width in order to keep your child’s feet feel comfortable through out their daily activities and to continue protecting their healthy growing feet from infant, toddler to teenager.

 c) Children’s feet can grow an entire size or more every three months.   Having your child’s feet measured properly on a regular basis will help finding the right shoes for your child.  The best time to measure your child shoes is in the afternoon and evening when the child’s feet are most expandable, this will give the most accurate measurement on a child’s feet.     
   
d) Measure your child's feet while he/she is standing, and always have both feet measured. Since one foot is usually larger than the other, buy shoes to accommodate the largest of the two feet.

e) When your child is wearing the shoes, and their feet are fully extended (watch for toe crunching!), there should be half an inch (thumbnail width size) room between the edge of the shoe toe and the edge of your child's toes.

f) Shoes that have too tight of a heel will cause discomfort, but having shoes that are too loose is also troublesome.  The heel of the shoes should rest snugly but not tightly around the back of the child's heel.
